In the Vineyard is an electronic newsletter published by the Diocese of Davenport for all that minister in the Catholic Church. Each issue contains articles for ongoing ministry formation, workplace ideas, updates on pastoral leadership, reviews of outstanding resources for parish life and space for spiritual enrichment. CEW (Christian Experience Weekend) Leadership Conference - New Manual - New Perspectives The leadership manual has been updated. A copy is available for review by contacting IlaMae Hanisch, or 641-791-3435.
If your area or parish is hosting a CEW weekend retreat and you would like to invite others from the diocese email IlaMae Hanisch.
Certification Program for all Catechetical Leaders (DRE, CYM, Principals, etc.) and Catechists (all who teach children, youth, and adults). This was created by the Pastoral Services staff and will be distributed to each parish and school in the diocese about the certification program. Information regarding certification and the forms for recording hours may be found in the new Faith Formation Handbook.

M.O.M.S. (Ministry of Mothers Sharing): This program is spiritual enrichment is designed to help women have a greater awareness of their inner sacred self and teach them new ways to inspire and affirm each other. Renee J. Crock has led several MOMS groups in her parish and she has completed training with Sr. Paula Hagen (MOMS co-creator) at St. Paul's Monastery in St. Paul, Minnesota. We welcome her as a regional coordinator. If you have MOMS groups in your parish please let her know how she might resource you. Free Marriage Resource: Weekly "news bites" are available from Family Matters, a website designed by Susan Vogt. A Marriage Moment and a Parenting Pointer will be emailed each week and you have permission to include them in your parish bulletin or newsletter (giving the appropriate source information as a footnote) or have a link to them on your parish website.
