Welcome to the Ministry Formation Program (MFP). Since 1997, the Diocese of Davenport has offered Ministry Formation Programs. We announced specialized training for ecclesial leaders with desire to serve as parish life administrators and finance administrators. Qualified applicants from other dioceses are welcome to enroll in this training. See the below for more information. For the two programs the applications are available. You may also request an information packet by contacting IlaMae Hanisch at hanisch@davenportdiocese.org or 641-791-3435. If leaving a voice message please leave your name, phone number and mailing address.

"In short, the MFP has literally changed my life! Not to sound cheesy but the light bulb went off within the last year and now I "get it."

I thank God everyday for leading me to this program and back to the church." S.D., Iowa City (a current participant)

The Ministry Formation Program is expanding to include a program for Spanish-speaking participants. For the first time, during 2010-2011, we will offer the Basic two-year MFP in Spanish. Classes begin in January and will meet monthly on Sundays, 3:00-6:00 p.m., in St. Joseph's Church basement in West Liberty. We hope to offer the program each year and move the location every two years. Brochure

We are grateful for the help of several priests, religious women, and lay ecclesial ministers who will teach the courses. The on-site facilitator is Mat McAndrew, who recently completed five years in ministry formation.
