Welcome to the Ministry Formation Program (MFP). Since 1997, the Diocese of Davenport has offered Ministry Formation Programs. We announced specialized training for ecclesial leaders with desire to serve as parish life administrators and finance administrators. Qualified applicants from other dioceses are welcome to enroll in this training. See the below for more information. For the two programs the applications are available. Retreat for all who minister in the church: Saturday, September 6, 2008. 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., St. Alphonsus, Mt. Pleasant. The author of Living Like Francis Today, Sr. Marci Blum, OSF will lead a retreat and Bishop Amos will preside at Mass, followed by lunch. Registration for the retreat ($15 per person) will include lunch and a copy of her book. Registration forms will be available on the diocesan web site next month. MFP Basic Year II Courses 2008-2009

ICN participants meet two Saturdays per month from 9 a.m. - 4p.m. at ICN locations around the Diocese. Non-ICN participants review the recorded ICN classes and then meet once a month for three hours for small group work. Your schedule is determined by your group and its facilitator.

In the basic two-year process will begin this fall. Instructors are currently being contacted and the schedule created. The courses will continue to be presented in two formats: ICN (meeting two Saturdays per month for 8 months) or Non-ICN (small group meeting once a month). Application forms and information will be available in late May.

Registration Fees-Basic MFP Year (8 month program). This includes most books, reading packet, instructor stipend & facilitator stipend for non-ICN groups (non-chancery staff), retreat day, and ICN line use. It does not include food nor transportation costs.

ICN Format: $150/person (resident of diocese)
  $225/person (non-resident of diocese)
  $25 per individual course (resident of diocese)
Non-ICN format: $175/person (resident of diocese)
  $250/person (non-resident of diocese)
  $25 per individual course (resident of diocese)
