The Diocesan Building Commission serves to advise the Bishop and assist parishes and other communities with their repair, renovation, and building projects. Consultation with the Building Commission is required for any renovation or building project; if the liturgical space is involved, the Diocesan Liturgical Commission must also be consulted. Please refer to these policies for details.
The Building Commission meets on the last Thursday of every month. The Liturgical Commission meets every other month. Communities should contact the Office of Liturgy to arrange for a time to present their projects.

Baptisms not recognized by the Catholic Church
In order to be recognized as valid, baptisms in other Christian communities must be done with water (according to the practice of that community: sprinkled, poured, immersion, submersion) and in the name of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) as understood by the Catholic Church. As a guide to assist in decision-making, this document lists communities whose baptism is not recognized by the Catholic Church. The document may not be exhaustive, so questions about individual cases should be referred to the Office of Liturgy (RCIA) or the Tribunal (permissions or dispensations for marriage and related matters).
