Parishes are invited to participate in a national survey on evangelization and faith formation with families. The Evangelization Committee of the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership (NCCL) is undertaking this study to understand how parishes and schools are involved in the evangelization and faith formation of families and parents/grandparents. They are asking for some demographic information to start. Then they ask about your approach to families, how you engage families through the parish or school, and how you reach families at home. The survey concludes with an open-ended question about the challenges you face in the evangelization and faith formation of families. Everyone who completes the survey and provides a name and email (which will only be used for this purpose) will receive a copy of the report.
Go to SurveyMonkey to complete the survey online. Please complete the survey no later than March 15, 2017.

The USCCB has a website devoted to marriage, www.foryourmarriage.org. There are many articles, interactive surveys, references that support and promote healthy relationships. There is information for those who are dating, engaged, married, and the theology of marriage. The web site also addresses issues in marriage, parenting and family as well as linking to resources and organizations for help in strengthening relationships.
An initiative of the USCCB. The Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage is seeking feedback on its website www.marriageuniqueforareason.org and two DVDS/videos: Made for Each Other and Made for Life.
As Catholic we are reminded to focus upon the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, tangible actions that show charity toward others. In Intimate Graces, Teresa Tomeo and her husband, Dominick Pastore, demonstrate how applying these fourteen traditional virtues of Catholic spirituality can foster deeper intimacy in any marriage. The couple uses personal stories and reflections, as well as the experiences of other Catholic couples, to show how a husband and wife can become, in a real way, a haven of compassion and virtue for each other.
Tomeo and Pastore each write in their own voice and include reflection questions, practical suggestions, and a prayer at the end of each chapter.
Partners on the Journey is a Catholic marriage enrichment program published by the Gottman Institute. The DVD, facilitators guide and participant booklet are reasonable priced, and can be used by parish groups or individual couples. Click on the photo for more information.

A website that would be a good link on your parish web site or parish bulletin for those who are divorced is www.nacsdc.org. Many times our divorced parish members feel abandoned by the Church. This is one way to connect them to resources on line that are from a Catholic organization, Catholic Divorce Ministry (CDM).
