RE: Report of misconduct by a priest 

The victim assistance coordinator for the Diocese of Davenport has received a report of sexual misconduct involving Rev. Robert “Bud” Grant that occurred in the Diocese of Des Moines in the early 1990s.  The Diocese of Davenport referred the case to the Diocese of Des Moines. 

Fr. Grant’s faculties to minister as a priest have been suspended by Bishop Joensen and Bishop Zinkula.  He has been suspended from teaching at St. Ambrose University in Davenport and from his assignment as sacramental minister to St. Andrew, Blue Grass until the report is investigated and the process is concluded according to Church law.   

The Diocese has not received any other reports of misconduct involving Fr. Grant.
